A judge grudgingly granted an adjournment to a solicitor in court this week (June 3) despite getting a little angry with him a few moments earlier when he felt any additional delay in the proceedings was just wasting the good weather.

•The next instalment of Galway Triathlon Club’s lecture series will take place next week with a talk on long-distance racing by some of Galway’s most experienced athletes. The open-forum will be hosted by Athenry AC’s ultra distance runner Mick Rice, multiple Ironman competitor Reilly Dibner, and stage race cyclist Nigel Forde. The session will be chaired by GTC coach Ray Glynn and will give an insight into long distance running, cycling, and triathlon. The talk will take place in the Radisson Hotel on Monday January 25 at 7pm.
